    Day One: We placed the eggs in the incubator and for the next 18 days we maintained the humidity and rotated the eggs at least three times a day.  Day 9: We “candled” the eggs to see if there were embryos or not.  This had to be done in a dark room so the picture is blurry, but at the bottom of the egg, that leafy shape is a foot!  The bright spot at the bottom of the egg is the air sac.  The girls squealed seeing the babies wiggle…

    Encouraging Movement in the Classroom

    I am often asked how I get the girls to stay seated at the table during school.  The truth is…I don’t!  I believe their bodies were meant for movement and we “school” with that in mind.  I’ve always loved Nicolette Sowder’s quote: “If we want them to move mountains, we must first allow them to get out of their chairs!”.  So, here are a few options to encourage movement in your child’s day, especially when the weather keeps you indoors.
